Ntern

Terms of Use

Version 2026-08-25 · Effective August 25, 2026

These Terms govern use of the Ntern mobile app, website, API, and related services operated by JD Krasnick.

Agreement and eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Ntern. By creating an account, you confirm that you are at least 18 and agree to these Terms and acknowledge the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not create an account or use the service.

What Ntern provides

Ntern helps people discover technical early-career roles, request alerts, keep a personal application tracker, and reach an employer’s official application form. Ntern is not an employer, recruiter, staffing agency, school, or representative of a listed employer. A listing is not a promise that a role remains open, that you qualify, or that an employer will respond.

Accounts and user responsibilities

Provide accurate account information, keep your password and device secure, and promptly report suspected unauthorized access. You are responsible for reviewing application information, deciding what to disclose, completing any verification, and operating the final submit control on an employer’s site. Do not upload information you lack permission to use.

Official forms and third-party services

Applications are handed off to employer-controlled or authorized applicant-tracking sites. Those sites have their own terms and privacy practices. Ntern does not control their availability, content, hiring decisions, or security. Application assistance, where offered, is review-only and must not bypass CAPTCHA, identity checks, portal rules, or a user’s final submission decision.

Acceptable use

Do not use Ntern to break the law, harm another person, probe or bypass security, access another user’s information, submit applications without authorization, send abusive traffic, evade rate limits, distribute malware, misrepresent an affiliation, or interfere with service operation. Public API and source-code access does not authorize conduct that violates source-site terms or employer systems.

Open source and catalog metadata

Ntern source code is available under the MIT License. Ntern-created catalog metadata may be reused under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International license with attribution to Ntern. This permission does not cover employer-authored text, third-party source material, logos, or trademarks. Factual job information may also be subject to rights and rules outside these Terms.

Your content

You retain your rights in profile information, notes, answers, and documents you provide. You give Ntern a limited permission to host, process, copy, and transmit that content only as needed to provide features you request, secure the service, and comply with law. This permission ends when the content is deleted, subject to the Data Retention Policy.

Corrections and service changes

Listing sources, labels, and correction handling follow the Source and Correction Policy. We may add, change, pause, or discontinue features and may remove inaccurate or unsafe content. We may restrict an account or installation when reasonably necessary to address abuse, security, legal requirements, or material violations of these Terms.

Disclaimers

Ntern is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, JD Krasnick disclaims warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted availability, and accuracy. Nothing in these Terms excludes a warranty or right that applicable consumer law does not allow to be excluded.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, JD Krasnick will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, lost opportunities, lost data, or employer decisions arising from use of Ntern or an external application site. Any liability that cannot legally be excluded remains limited only to the extent the law permits.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute not eligible for a local small-claims forum will be brought in a state or federal court with jurisdiction where the operator resides in Pennsylvania. Mandatory consumer protections in your home jurisdiction continue to apply where they cannot be waived.

Changes and contact

Revised Terms will be posted with a new version and effective date. Material changes will receive reasonable in-app or email notice when practical. Continued use after the effective date means the revised Terms apply; account users who disagree may delete their account.
